Dive bottle holders

Had a bit of a dilemma with where to put some dive bottle holders forward in the boat without drilling into my seat boxes. Found these suction cups on the net they are rated to 50kg and solved my problem they work great... I bought the cups on their own and attached my own tank holders.. Check out their website these things have a heap of uses wihout fixing on your boat www.seasucker.com I bought 4 and it cost me about 50 bucks postage...

You guys crack me up! But Jamie is right in this case.
The racks are great for use in a low bounce and vibration environment such as in an ambulance, for which they were originally designed. On a boat however, I could never get them tight enough to maintain tension and straps kept slipping and the bottles would eventually fall over. The fix was to replace the fixed strap with a lacky - this enabled the tension to be constant and then they held much better, but the design of the curved holder didn't allow a thick band which would have worked even more effectively. It was also designed to hold only the bottle, which means that you can't prerig your kit.
I searched the web and eventually found the Roll Control racks that Jamie mentioned. These worked much better and would hold a rigged bottle. Wll worth every cent in IMO.

I must admit that I like the suction cups and I can see a use for them on my boat, for temporary bottle racks, hhmmm.............. maybe even in conjunction with another 2 Roll Control holders.

i like allrounders approach. some of those tank holders are worth more than your tanks....
my tank holders cost me less than $14 to whip up. a couple of stainless steel strap brackets screw fixed to the gunnels, and spring-loaded tie-down straps to match, and you got yourself cheap, adjustable tank holders that hold up to 3 tanks each side (6 in total). they can hold pre-rigged kits, fully adjustable, they havent failed in 3 years, and if they do, it will cost me less than $10 to fix.
