you can walk straight down in
you can walk straight down in front of the caravan park and cast off the beach, nice little bit of reef not far off the beach and a nice channel running between it and the beach. Have caught mulloway off of the rock wall around the marina as well just on dusk and into the evening. You may also pick up some small school sharks off the rocks at times.
Just depends on the wind direction which is better to fish.

Sharks
As kids we used to beach fish North of there and every now and then my Uncle would gaff one of the many small sharks that would almost beach themselves in the surf! Saw plenty of big mulloway caught back then too.

That whole stretch produces
Really good structure and reef system along that stretch and all the way south to the rockwall. Some solid tailor around at the mo and always a good chance of mullas and sharks too.
My last few tailor sessions were around the river mouth and first light seemed to be the hot bite time.
Good luck!
