help a dopey Queenslander out.
i have some nice jack frames and am going to chase some crab.
can you keep female crab here also or is it just males like Queensland?

Female crabs are fair game
Female crabs are fair game here but many including myself choose to only keep males, also traps
used in QLD are illegal here, only drop nets

Interestingly mate, you're allowed to use crab hooks over here as well. These have been outlawed for decades in Qld.
Obviously all these rules are based on rigorous, evidence based science!

Yea have wondered myself why so many discrepancies in what is legal fishing gear for crabs from one state to another drop nets.witches hats. traps. hooks.doesn't make sense that one could be the right way in one state could get you in a lot of trouble in a different state.
