Drag help for daiwa saltist ld40 2spd

Hi guys,
While having a play around with my daiwa saltist ld40 2spds' drag this arvo somethings gone wrong. The drag curve is now very heavy on the end, it doesn't show any drag until it goes into strike, where it has double what it had before, and I didnt even bother putting it in full lock as I didn't wanna crush the washers.

My stupidity (how it happened): my reel didnt get as much drag as it says on the daiwa website, so I twisted the strike adjustment cap off and had a look if there was anyway of gaining a bit more drag. It all looked very complicated so I put the cap back on (thinking I didn't change anything) and started tightening with the reel in freespool, with the intention to stop when the drag started to affect the freespool (as I normally do), which never happened. And now I have tones more drag which is nice, but the way the drag comes on is all wrong and I don't think there's meant to be as much drag pressure as there is.
Does anyone know how to get it back to normal?? Or should I just take it into Oceanside and see what honsu can do?

I hope this all makes sence, cheers rob

Just sounds like the drag preset was done up too tight and now you're experiencing a problem called overhead drag bind.

I bought a LD30 not long ago

I bought a LD30 not long ago after recommended by shop assistant. However, after the first use it began to jam up, also the preset was set one day and changed all on its own the next day. I am waiting on some good weather to give the reel a good workout so as I can be sure before I take it back.

I am not a Fan of them.
