Hey east coast fishos , I am doing a trip with a mate first week maybe second of May taking his new tub up north ( And yes , i am pumped ) . Being WA born an bred , what areas would be best to drop a line /troll lures etc on the way up ,As usual , not exact co-ords , but general spots would be great . If you feel generous , spots would be awesome ! Only taking a week to ten days so wont be staying in areas long . Cheers in advance !

The shelf off Sydney through
The shelf off Sydney through to the north coast produces good Marlin and tuna depending on the time of year.
If it's a once in a lifetime thing you might want to make Browns Mountain off Sydney your first point of call for some deep drop or YTKs. That would be kind of your test drive rather than part of the trip north.

wide off coffs
between coffs and lorde howe there are some amazing sea mounts ect that would be worth a look at..Has to be seen to be believed. Cape Moreton wide is meant to be pretty special also.. Along the outside of Fraser Island. I am sure there would be a heap of oportunitys

Thanks guys for the ideas , not really sure how far offshore we will be , but will post photos of the journey once back . How far would the shelf be approx ? Obviously will check charts and research good drop offs , but always good to get local knowledge .
