80lb braid+reel on full lock+100kg stingray = lost car lol

looks like a good invention there, you could even modify it into a small LBG chair

What is wrong with the short lengths of poly pipe that people have been using for years.

You can spread them apart, take them with you in the back pack, use them as a burley mixer and chucker outer and even as a waddy to keep your kids, mates dogs whatever in line the list goes on and on but those are stuck in one spot for you to trip over and bark your shins on. Massive over kill IMO.

no chance of your rod falling

no chance of your rod falling over when the incoming tide reaches your poly pipe or when a decent fish goes for a run.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Burley chucker....... great

Burley chucker....... great idea. I never thought of that. I hate getting that premix crap all over my hands. All my fishing shirts have a permanent burley smell coz i wipe my hands on them. Not anymore.... thanks to Carnarvonites patented burley chucker !

^^^^I was waiting for this as i myself was wondering the same thing.

The only possible benefit i can think of is that you can have the drag set a bit tighter, but still why?

Have similair set up on my landcruiser

I use it when fishing hard surfaced areas/reef and cant get pipe into ground or if I am moving about a bit along stretch of reef / beach .

Put rod into it and re-rig if if busted off/jagged from back of car which has drawers and all my gear in it. Depends where you fish, most of my time is spent standing when fishing on reefs / cliffs and you cant knock a tube in where you are like Quobba or Wagoe reef. Handy when getting ready to balloon.

Still use the trusty PVC pipe and mallet when on the beach ,plonked in a deck chair with a beer.

Mine is same rod holder but I had an old one and just welded a piece of square ali tubing same size as reece hitch tube on to at a 45 degree angle tilting forwards (similair to pic above), drilled hole for the pin and it  slides into the reece hitch and locks in the same way the hitch does.  My rod is short butt so it doesnt drag in sand.
