Getting squid and octopus ink out of clothes?

Is there any ways that you guys use to get the ink out, got inked out a fair bit on the weekend. The octupus ink looks like it might be a little tougher to get out...

plus hot water and soak it for 24 hours will get most of it out.

Gets it out a treat so I assume salted water wash would similarly do it but might play havoc with your washing machine (or drag it behind the boat when next out ??)

Just checked the laundry trough, looks like a mix of preen, a wash, and another soak has done the trick.
