Just chasing a bit of advice on choosing an electric motor.
Going to be on a 3.5m tinny and transom mounted. What would be the right lb thrust motor to go for?
cheers

You can get away with a lot
You can get away with a lot less. I used to have a 28lb,for a tinny the same as yours and it did the job well, no problem. If money is not a issue you can go higher of course.

depends on use
Depends on a couple things. How often are you going to use it and what for. I've got a 3.15m vnose punt, use a 54lb watersnake with a 65 amp hour deep cycle battery. I use it for positioning on snags for casting at barra and have never run the battery flat in one day. I recently did a two day trip to lakefield and it still had plenty of grunt at the end of the trip. If it's your primary source of power, or if you're doing a lot of trolling, then your battery size will go up.
You may be able to use a smaller motor, but I think a 54lb would be most suited to your boat.
