hey mate,

Is this system an electric over hydraulic system or full electric system?

I have just fitted new electric over hydraulic system to my trailer.... easy and cost about $1000 but works brilliantly!!

What make did you fit? Does it have a battery on the trailer? The hydraulics are ready to go, it's just the actuator that needs work/replacing.

Haven't heard of Dexter - will google it. Been wondering about Carlisle but 2 good reports about Sensa so I might just try a bit longer.

yeh i have heard good and bad about sensa, just sucks if need to tow it with another car with brake controller thats no sensa ( not that its often you do ) But i havnt been able to go fishing because of it. I personally have hydrastar and have no issues what so ever with it.

And yes you need a battery on your trailer dor the over 2T breakaway unit.

Gents,

Below is the link to where I baught my electric brake system from, comes with everything you need. I have wired mine up with a plug and have wired my Dads Prado and sisters Landcruiser so that all I have to do is un plug the controller from my car and plug it into either one of theirs if I need to use their car to tow the boat.

If you need a hand with wiring and stuff let me know, I love that shit!!
