Not 100% sure if its the same brand but a friend i have uses similar lights wen he does his overnighter/weekend getaways on his Campsite.  Lights up reasonably well and he adds a flood light to light up the beach :)

I could wire tie them to the bimini uprights?  I don't have a rocket launcher.  wire up a couple of electrical connectors to match my multi purpose cig plug, which i have already to suit an aerator or 12v pump, or prawn light....  looks the go.  cheap alternative.

I have almost the exact same product in my boat. I installed them under the gunwhales so that they shine down and light up the deck. . Are they the best, probably not but I think they work fine and am glad that I put them in. I think I've seen others use red LEDs as its better for night vision.

Cheers Nath

I have the same mounted under my Gunwhales and they are awesome, but I find you still need something above as well as the brighness off my white floor can make it hard to see above the gunwhales.

Very Similar

Thu, 2012-09-13 20:22

Hi Randall, they look very similar to the LED strip lights that I just installed, which were these: http://korrlighting.com.au/boat-light-white-4m-4m-kit.html

They came as a kit and had all the bits & pieces, also have a keyring remote control for on/off and also brightness asjustment. The kit also had a 50cm LED striplight that I used for up the front in the bow storage area. Overall very happy with the product, I purchased as the kit and it made things easy. You could buy the ones you mentioned and I'm sure they would do a similar job (but you would need two sets, and then buy the strip light seperate so doubt you would save any real money?)

As another point, the spotlights I purchased from the same supplier are great (these: http://korrlighting.com.au/10watt-led-boating-spotlight.html ) they are easily the most compact ones I have seen available. Great light output, but the thing I was most impressed with is due to the small size/weight you could mount off the canopy tube frame or whatever. I mounted them off the aluminium strip on top of my windscreen, and I reckon even bouncing through heavy seas they won't give any issues.

Now I just gotta get out on the weekend to give them a real test!

If you wanted to see how they look you are welcome to come by one night, just PM me.

Cheers,

Browndog.
