Personally , they are about
Personally , they are about in all depths and bite at certain times.
Find some good ground at the right time , and try several methods until you hook up.
Sometimes they'll take bait , sometimes artificials. Fish as light as poss.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

head SW out of rockingham, out to 35-40m range, will see the reef on the charts, probably 18 mile out. Good little reef, holds a few dhus

We've caught a couple
We've caught a couple undersize ones and been busted off by a few mummas in 8-12m just south of rockingham. Lost a nice pinkie on plastic at the same spot the other day too. I havent done much offshore fishing as I've only just recently purchased a boat but from what I've read on this site over the last couple years 30-45m seems to produce alot of fish and 32m gets brought up a lot.

Been nailing heaps at
Been nailing heaps at Lancelin. 8m of water has got me an 87cm, 56cm (on a plastic and a 1-3kg rod!) and a 47cm (released well).
Also caught a really good one in 70m behind rotto 2 weeks ago.

Cheers for your help got two
Cheers for your help got two dhus in 27m of water on the same lump. One went 530mm and the other 600mm. Just snuck in with the first. Was stoked as they were first legal fish.
