Got a 40ltr I want to put up in the cabin of my 6.2mtr Vagabond.
Worried about the shocks, slaps, constant up and down motion.
Does anyone run one in a smaller boat and if so have you had any dramas.
Don't want to f&ck it that's all.
Cheers

Use one in my Haines
got a 40lt i use in my Haines 6.8m
I just either kept it around mid ships/helm and it seems to be good.
low down, on the keel.
i think if you had an ally boat the same size it may be an issue...
or if you drive like you stole it!

Have used one in a truck for six years.
While you you don't get the extremes of rock and rolling in a truck, the jarring and vibrations of rough road work are worse than in a boat.

Engels will handle the rough
Engels will handle the rough stuff,I would be more concerned about the rust, its the ONLY advantage waecos have over engel.I would talk to the couple that own Engeland in Balcatta, the most helpfull people you will ever have the pleasure of chatting with, they hire engels too if you need a spare on holidays.
Make sure no water goes in the top cooling vents,it will fry the electronics.
The man on the BCF add has one in his boat so it must be true!!!!!
