Exmouth 07
Well we are back so to speak and not to happy about it I might add.
We had a blast up there and got some great fish and some cracker photos which I will post up when I get the chance. Video footage was the only downer as we had numerous camera issues so we are pretty dissapointed with what we got but we still got some good stuff.
Fish caught were pretty much everything except bills this year - we had a couple of strikes and saw some but couldnt get them to connect up. NEXT YEAR :)
Weather was ordinary for the first week but then we got some good days before it turned to crap for the last day. We dragged Adam out on the last day and showed him a couple of secret spots where he got a nice red so all in all it was a great trip so stay tuned for the photos to get you all keen to get up there yourselves :)))

Nah mate didnt have a chance - got to sidetracked doing other stuff as usual. Weather didnt help us out to much either so didnt get right into the gulf. Hopefully will get there next year. Am hanging out to get back up there aready :)

That's not good, no billies? How big a boat were you guys fishing out of? The weather must have knocked you around a fair bit.
If you look at it from any Perth metro angler's perspective you still fished way better than any of us down here did even without the target species getting tagged. Bad luck mate, I know next year the fish won;t be so lucky......revenge is sweet. I bet you guys clean up in 2008.
Looking forward to the pics and any vid footage you salvaged in amongst the camera problems.

Yeah we didnt give the billies a huge go but have a few little tricks to try for them next year - they are ours. We were in my boat Andy so did get a little thrown around.

i was a little disapointed
i was a little disapointed with our efforts to.the night after catching up with yourself ewen and adam i trolled a length of ground that has always produced a heap of corination trout [theplace i was telling you about down the pub if ya can remember, gulg gulg] for not a single hit.i had talked the spot up to friza garanteeing him we would be eating trout for dinner that night only to to end up sneeking inside the reef to bait fish for spanglies .we couldnt even land one of those.still i went to exxie to get my rec ticket so all was not lost
gezzze the pub was rockn that night .hows the skinny little bloke dropping that dickhead with one punch .farrrkn funny as.was good to catch up with you boys reguardless what the fishing was like

There were heaps of bills landed at Gamex, haven't got the exact number, but likely to be 200ish +, one day had easily 50+ from listening on the radio.
Yeh, that little guy dropping that bloke was a cracker. Bloody funny too.
Oh, its not secret anymore Gull, I have it on my secret gps that I stowed aboard. I'll look after it, promise. ;D

Lets just say that the torque talked for itself. I'm going to get one myself. Only way to keep those good fish out of those sharkys mouth, mr sharkey didn't even know what happened after one fast rotation. I WANT ONE!

Yeah there were a few drinks downed that night and yes I can remember it all. We gave that spot a bit of a crack also Mitch but not even the hint of a strike, oh well next time.
That night was a good one though and that punch - GOLD!! Was great to meet a few more of the guys
Adam - its a long swim out there bro, hmmmm you and that GPS are bad news. Will fire you off a couple of spots anyway mate around the area when I get back :) That was a pretty good day out even thought the weather didnt play the part but we got it all done. And that mack - holy shit I didnt know they made them that big, 50kg easily and when its out of the water with a big tuna in its mouth it starts to make you think about lure size :)))
How did the footage come out from that day Ads? Hold onto it mate cos we can combine it.

Yep, got some good footage mate. Didn't think you guys were using my camera most of the day. Should be able to use some of it, thats for sure (15mins worth).
I'm going to make up a small vid of the other footage of Bouttime's mack in the next day or two, should be a good watch.
