Exmouth landbased,
As I only had the one day out with Peak and having a ball, I made the most of my Exmouth vist by casting the shore line chasing my main Exmouth target the GT, I only had one suitable windless day and made the most of it .
the trick to landbased work here in exmouth for me anyways is when the wind picks up find somewhere out of it and find clean water, no weed and dirty water.
the first lot of cast i stired up big queenies and a donkey of a barracuda but couldnt get them to bite the lures.
The next day I thought i would drop the lure size down to metals and waxwings and got some nice tuskies off the stones and a load of those crazy spikey cods, hey they make for entertainment.
Which kept a friend of mine who flew in from Adelaide to catch up highly entertained , really enjoyed himself just catching the little stuff.
The next day I psyched him up for the dredded bundigie walk, I must admit I hate this walk and try to advoid it as much as possible, but it was the only place out of the wind.
for bundigie I prefer low light conditions and as per plan I got the hook up, near on got spooled on the Dogfight and had me thinking Shark........
a good battle later of pumping and winding, walking backwards and winding forwards I managed to land a good GT.
The arm buggered from all the casting and action, I dropped the lure sizes down the next day and gave oysters a crack, as the wind had changed again, I make note that on this trip it was the most lifeless i have ever seen the place, with only the little fish at the base of the stacks present not a bait fish in sight.
none the less kept casting the lures and kept getting hit but no hook up,,,,, wtf squid.....
now i dont chase these things at all, and rumaged through the tackle box and found a magazine freebie squid jigg, cut off the GT stick bait lure and with a ten foot GT shore stick and a saltiga 6000 running PE10 bagged out on the messy buggars.
how fun are they, so on my last day my mate and I topped up the bag limit for a lunchi time feed.
had a great time fishing so now its time to relax, drive old mate back to the airport, load up the car on the weekend and start the drive back to Darwin.
anyhow cheers people and here are some pics

Geezus, that GT off the beach
Geezus, that GT off the beach must be hard work, brute fish
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
