I don't have much experience but what worked for me recently up there were white bucktails, roosta poppers, x-raps, metal slices (twisties) and curl-tail plastics.

5) silver halco twisty (when ive run out of gold)
Ive also found gold halco twisties to be the most effective.
Failing all the above, try a gold halco twisty.

we were catching a fair few gt's and queenies and even a couple mangrove jack on the pink 120 howlers or the red 150's but also on gold twisty's and roosta poppers

hey mate i havent been but i remember belly saying sticks in a shiny red colour worked great for him north as far as metals go check out some of the iron candy range cast like a bullet and have glow colours for dawn, dusk or full moon fishing
