Exmouth - terrorist style
Submitted by HuggyB on Wed, 2009-05-13 20:20
A reasonable bag of fish for an Exmouth virgin. Pity the weather didn't play ball in week 2.
* rankin and gold spot was a double header *
* my first marlin - not a record breaker but it performed well, if only we had a dedicated videographer on board *

Unfortunately no
Too windy for any landbased (which I was gonna do in week 2). Had a few oppurtunities from the boat, but the amount of weed was making it very difficult so it saw no action!
But I'll put it to good use another time, resat assured. Might make a lightning trip north at the end of the year. We'll see what transpires.
Did you sort out your popper rod??

sadly Simo
the answer is no. Never eaten it before and it looks like the drought is set to continue. Same with the rankin.
Ah well, there will be more caught before I stop breathing, thats for sure.....

Great Haul
Top work Huggy, looks like you crossed a few of the list ol'mate. Just a couple of those elusive red species missing. Looking at other pics, Yoda (Ozzy) snared acouple.
1/2 your luck. Fozz

I agree Adam
aside from my first marlin, that was my favourite fish of the trip - any idea what they taste like?
But I'll be back, best you get the town prepared. HAHAHAHA

sh*t hot
Rate them as probably the best in the ocean, next to coral trout and king george. Would take them over red any day, mind you, red ain't too bad either, but bluebone is sensational.
