sundays trip to the lake
alright one and all
Just a quick report on sundays trip to a local pond called peggys pond. I was fishing for tench and bream, although I didnt get any tench I did end up with 7 bream. They were caught on either the float with loose feed fired over the top with a catapult, or on the feeder where a small plastic cage is filled with groundbait which attracts fish to the area. The baits they were caught on were sweetcorn and troutpellets. I lost one as well and I reckon I would have had a least 3 more if it hadnt lashed down with rain for half the morning!
All the fish ranged between 4.5lb and 6.5lb so a good average size. Hopefully will go back in a couple of weeks when the suns out!!!

Looks like a pretty successful outing Roger
They look a bit like a cross between a Yellowfin Perch and a Carp.
