family friendly fishing spots in freo

heading down to freo for lunch tomoro with the GF's family for her parents 30yr aniversary. her mums a big fishing fan, fish or not she just enjoys the experience as many of us do. that being said she loves whiting.
so just to help her enjoy the day after any tips on a quiet spot away from the crowds and swimmers for a bit of a fish and hopefully some whiting, even if theres herring or skippy around for fun thatd be great to. ive had a look on google maps and south beach looks like it could be ok but i suspect alot of beachgoers, or south mole but ive had limited luck there in the past and i dont know about whiting being caught there?
any tips are as always greatly appreciated of course!

Port Beach Road north freo.
Port Beach Road north freo. Have a go right where the North Mole rockwall meets the sand & the beach extending north of there.
Typical whiting rig with tiny bits of coral prawn work well & you can berley up to try & get the herring going.

Should be pretty good. Bugger all chance of rain, should be clearing up from about now on. Wind is pretty strong but is SE so over your left shoulder while your fishing most beach spots. Would be pretty well sheltered at the beach end of the north mole.

Cheers mate, down by kailis now, great food! Gonna head over to that beach soon, weathers looking good, barely any wind atm and if anything id say the waters too calm but thats good by me. Suns almost out, but cloudy.
