do you think its rude to go fishing on the big day?
i was just talking to my freinds about fishing this weekend, (more than likely saturday) and
the first thing i got was...
you cant go sunday its fathers day
ok, its my day, im a dad and i want to go fishen, whats the problem?

make it a picnic or bbq somewhere close to the water, that way you can go fishing and spend time with family, friends kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Taking my two boys fishing
Taking my two boys fishing with me on sunday,my wife and my two girls are going to a playschool show,so its all good! Though my wife lets me go fishing on fathers day every year,as long as i dont go too early so the kids can give me the presents they made at school!

Oh, thats evil. Though, she's now given you an excuse to go fishing on mothers day. Tell her wouldnt she rather spend time with her kids without you around, hehe. But almost for sure she'll come up with a reason why it doesnt apply to her and why its different :p

Tell 'em that they can celebrate Father's Day on another day when the weather's not so good!
It's all commercialised BS anyway...just like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day...if there wasn't the oppurtunity to flog gifts/cards etc, there'd be no such thing. Mothers/fathers/kids/grandparents should be celebrated ALL the time, not just when the corporate interests want them to be.

Auslobster, to me every day is fathers or mothers day, enjoy the time with your kids whether either day, as one minute they are crawling and the next minute they are getting in their car and saying "Na Dad/Mum going out with my mates," hahahaha
Enjoy any time with your kids.

I am going on sunday
it all comes down to planning.Have family breakfast at hillaries and put the boat in earlier.Finish breaky walk down the ramp on the boat and gone for the rest of the day.Its just another day drummed up so stores can have another sale and everyone buys another gift that year.Everyday i spend time with my kids is fathers day,
Dont need a fancy title and more socks and jocks.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Got our comp this weekend so will be fishing with the Mrs. Kids will be with the babysitters. Just spent the last week on a road trip and camping so think I have enough points to get me through.
