the blues' 3-4 year window of oppurtunity for a flag has started and i don't think it's a great move to upset the team dynamic just as they are starting to look promising. fev even started making second efforts for the ball this year instead of spitting the dummy like a spoilt kid.

despite his misgivings off field he is still a great goalkicker, he actually started to look like he had pulled his head in as far as his attitude towards his football, club and teamates this year.

he's obviously got a problem when he gets on the piss... but i think most people on here can say there have been nights when they've had a few too many and done some stupid stuff...

If Warnock gets fit would like to see Kruzer play forward. Also Cloke could play out of the square. One door closes another one opens opens. The window of oppurtunity is still open, it's not like he's being given away. Sticks and associates will demand a quality trade. Lake, Okeefe shit we might even end up with Bazza chucked in the deal. We will still do better than the egirls.

At least without Fev the blues wont be so reliant on him as a goal kicker.  At the moment if Fev doesn't fire the Blues dont look like a winning team but when he is on song htey are unstoppable (just ask Geelong). 

He will be missed but with some smart buying they may get a couple of good young guys, get more consistent and the window for the flag might slide out 1-2 years.

That is of course if anyone can afford Fev.  Carlton are saying they may pay part of his salary which I think is stupid.  The guy has meesed up, surely they can dismiss him and his contract for misconduct but obviously he is a pretty handy trade

Carltank have failure ingrained into their psyche, its not something that is going to disappear overnight.

Carlton will be top 4 next year, got a good list, they remind me a bit of st kildas list a year or 2 ago, just need the expereince up.

St Kilda for all their inconsistency always had a decent spine - Carlton dont have a backline, and now they've lost a major cog in their forwardline (Fev is historically 25 - 30% of their score). Who is gonna kick their goals? 

They need KPP and they keep trading/drafting on-ballers.

They are 0% chance of making top 4.  They'd have to get past the Cats, Saints, Pies, Crows, Hawks and Dogs to be a sniff.

even though the eagles have said they dont want him i think he will suit the west coast team down to the tee. with these new players like houlihan, priddis, masten and swift fedding him and lecras picking up the crumbs it will be a very good forward line. something that the eagles have needed for a long time...

according to Herald Sun website ... Carlton needed to get rid of him before his attitude rubbed off on the younger guys. 

Although they didnt get Bradshaw etc, they picked up McLean from Melb, the brisbane young guy and pick 12, so not all that bad. 

Will be ironic if the AFL delists him ala Ben Cousins for a year !!!

I dont think you have any idea what he actually did on Brownlow night mate - wasn't a case of just getting legless and making a dick of himself. Its pretty well known what he did do that night, and it went above and beyond "being a lad" - if it was just that he wouldn't have been traded.......
