Bet ya the fishing was plentiful during those times or when the place was first settled....would of been full of fish that you don't see now.....maybe GTs in the swan :)

Not quite Quan, after speaking to the son of an ex-commercial mullet fisherman ( fishing 80 years ago ) there was a greater quantity of prawns, both river and kings, Flounder, Cobbler, Pink Snapper and a lot more Mulloway turn up. 

I spoke to my Uncle last night.  He was telling me how my grandfather used to catch Spanish Mackeral along the beach in a row boat where the new works are being carried out at the North Mole in the 50s.
