A few fish from yesterday!!
Submitted by barneyboy on Mon, 2011-11-28 19:17
Finally got out yesterday for a decent go at it.
The kept kingie weighed 18kg,s.
The other kingie was let go and we estimated it to be about 12kg,s.
It was his 1st kingie. He got it on a jig and 20lb braid so a big congratulations mate.
Got a load of southern blues up to about 4kg,s. Another 1st for sunnyboy.
The dhu ate a jig on the drop, wasnt intentional and was let go unharmed.
A good day!!

got most of the fish trolling
the tuna we did see busting up were feeding at 10 to 12 knots, changing direction and being right little f@#ks. We got a coupla casts on em and I got bitten off. Like a mackeral bite off!! Sliced up leader. WTF????I grew up eating kingies on the east coast and reckon they are pretty damn good.

Cracking kingies mate. Been a few good size ones around lately.
Same as the tuna. They seem to be everywhere at the moment.
Enjoyed some sashimi on the weekend while playing a few rounds of poker. Went down a treat with the boys.

Solid bloody kingie!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
