took honsu out on friday which is when we got the ytk and the last sambo honsu is holding .. all fish were jigged on pe2 -3 . i was really amazed i managed to get the ytk as they are usually a very dirty fighter. Happy days :)

happy days alright, if you guys don't slow down there's gonna be people heading to the Capes instead of north for their fishing fix. I'd be wrapped with just the king and sambos, but to snare a dhuie too...great work.

Great work Clint, Im still trying to get a dhuy on a jig. Dont think I got the right action happing yet. Went out on saturady and had my first dhuyless trip since September last year. To make things worse Harro pulled in a couple of cracker dhuys right next me.

awesome fish! Great dhu & ytk. Conditions looked good too. Even looks like there was enough room to fish on the boat... Honsu must have limited his tackle selection.

Yeah good fishing guys. Have jigged up plenty of Sambos off the cape but still haven't managed a jigged Dhuie. Have also yet to boat a king there either, have hooked them and seen them only to have them wrap me up on the reef.

your telling me Till .. even i had 4 combo's on board :)

i think he was feeling too lazy to bring heaps of gear .. and i think i need more gear just to keep up with him :)

thinking of investing in a ultra small but very strong overhead just for b/bashing pe5-6 . only needs to hold 100 odd meters of line but nice and light and narrow ...

just hope such a combo is out there

I was packing light so I could fit my damn big 105L esky in the boot. Unfortunately couldnt fill it with a 25kg dhuie or YTK..... think we packed a little too light tackle for the day.

Plus note....my Fisherman Marado 110gm jig got 4 swallowtail, heap of sambos, pinkie and couple of unstoppables.....possibly that 25kg dhuie or YTK!!! lol

I now what I need more!! more $50 jigs!!

I wonder if Accurate are ever going to rerelease double narrow reels again. In the previous series you could buy models with a NN designation, not so for the current series.

oooh....they were old...hehe

I think that was a limited production hence we only seen them around for a couple of years.

Yes it would be good for the not so deep jigging.
