Swan fish so far so good
Kicked off swanfish about 1030 after collecting bait was a bit of a slow start with only one dozen small bream fishing around the ascot area cruised up to east Perth area got three bream biggest around 35cm put it in the live tank to get it weighed for catch and release then decided to head back to ascot fished a few snags pulled on a few smaller bream no upgrades so pulled the anchor and moved to the next snag just in time to beat last years biggest bream winner to his favourite snag. Had a couple of good runs but no hook ups then bang I was on to a decent bream it wrappede round a snag and with a bit of manouvering with the boat pulled in a 39cm bream put it in the live tank with the other and cast out again bang onto another good bream this one came in much easier but measured 41cm. So out with the 35cm and in the tank went the biggerfish. It went quiet after that so fished half hour then decided to weigh the fish in as catch and release. The 41cm went 1.2 kg and the 39cm went 900grm so far they are biggest weighed but still 12 hours to go. Having a bit of a rest now then hitting the whiting spots tonight. Maybe try for bream early morning there's always biggerfish. Will post photos when I get to the computer tomorrow.

Nice work
Breambert and I fished landbased at Lilac hill bridge, Fishmarket reserve and a spot x. Andrew was well on his game and caught probably a dozen or more compared to my two. But I found the size 2 circle hooks people recommended far too large but persisted until late arvo and switched back to size 7 longshanks and caught two.
Anyway Andrews biggest went 38cm. Released after checking for tags as he knew it wasnt a keeper for the comp. ;) Good day spent drinking a few quiet ones while fishing.
