P.B. Yellow-fin whiting
Submitted by Hobie-Wan on Mon, 2010-02-15 10:24
I got this on Saturday morning around Mylup. The biggest yellow-fin whiting I have ever seen, let alone caught. It was 34cm, hooked about 1m from my feet! Its nothing special compared to all the Dhuies and Snapper people post on this board, but its a pretty damn good whiting. YF Whiting are known to grow up to 40cm, so I am aiming to get one about that big.
It was a pretty good session, myself and two others got 10 more, about 25cm average, with a nice flathead (~40cm) and some herring thrown in. Made for a spectacular lunch.
