This bye week is bloody killing me, I'm fanging for some finals footy.
Anyway Eagles too strong for a depleted cold pies
I reckon the Hawks just might get over the Tigers, thye've seemed to be losing their mojo a little the last couple of weeks, but it will be tight.
Sydney over GWS
and Hmmmm Melb Geelong this will be another tight one but I reckon Melbourne with current form.

I watched that footage a couple of times and didnt see a punch thrown....
Without knowing what happened there i'd have a wild stab in the dark and say that instead of being happy with the win and shutting their gobs i'd say the Eagles fans couldn't help themselves and have another dig at the Pies supporters....
The Eagles supporters whinged and complianed and blamed the umpires for everything until the last 3 minutes when they hit the lead and all of a sudden it was time to cheer and really stick it into the Pies fans....
Then all of a sudden the umpires were off the hook and there was smiles all round...
I was suprised to see so many kids there, not an environment i'd be wanting my young boys to be involved in, certainly not a way to show them how to approach sport and your opponent....
Booing mistakes, clapping and cheering when Pies were injured, abusing the umpire....
I'm not at all suprised there were fights in the crowd, if the west coast fan was being a lippy fuckwit after the win i hope the Collingwood bloke did belt him even if his is an old bloke, if its taken him that long to learn then perhaps that might assist his decisions in the future...

Another wild stab in the dark might be that those 2 Collingwood supporters were being lippy after the 2nd and 3rd quarters and then copped it back in spades when the mighty Eagles stormed home. Just a wild stab in the dark though.........

You think that's different to any other AFL crowd?? Absolute bullshit, Fights at just about every Port Adelaide game and one can only imagine the vitriol spewed out by the crowd at a Collingwood home game. Come on Boony don't just call us out.

One is like a Bugatti Veyron
The other a Hayundai excel with a crack head behind the wheel.
The crack head will show speed and endevour until he doesn't see the road train about to yippie ki yay that mother fucker.
The Veyron with plenty of HP won't need to fully open up until Sept 29....
We'll beat the Dees, we'll beat the Eagles and then it will be tough to win it but i think we'll make it.

I don't know why but quite often it doesn't refresh other people's replies on this site so after a couple of responses you have to then reply going back a bit.
Firstly i grew up in a state where there wasn't an afl side until the crows came in and by then i was a Hawk.
I understand the patriotism and the passion but i don't get the bias.
I watched the 2015 gf in a room offshore surrounded by desperate eagles supporters ranting and raving clutching onto anything they could instead of watching actually what was happening and that was that a better side gave them a hiding.
I watched the port wc final last year at a mates place with 15 screaming eagles working themselves into a frenzy.
I recently watched the derby at the yardie creek caravan park, i listened on the radio until half time then went to the bbq area to watch it. Probably 20 there, both teams supported but these 3 older fuckwit Eagle supporters that couldn't see past there nose were in full flight. No one was saying anything so i took it upon myself to mimick the dickheads and mirror them but in a pro fremantle way. There was lots of smurking from the others watching as I'm sure they all thought these guys were over the top as i was being. I had heaps of fun and it obviously made these guys realise they were being annoying one eyed bias unsportsman like fuckwits. Fremantle were getting a hiding but still these guys couldn't sit back and watch it unfold and respect that there were also Freo crew trying to enjoy a game where again the Eagles face them a touch up.
Then going to the game and seeing more of it its actually really rank.
Eagles supporters seem so hell bent on focusing on everything they haven't got instead of sitting back and thinking about what they've achieved and how successful they've been. They are the most profitable sporting club in the nation bar none but fuck the supporters love to sook.
I can't speak for Pt Adelaide but I've been to plenty of crows games and the crowd applauses good footy regardless of which team it is.
I've been to plenty of games in Melbourne and nothing stands out.
I won't rush back to watch the Eagles.

there are bogans in every fan base ... we went to the last derby , buried right in with the freo crowd western goal end .. some of them where as you described the eagles supporters,
my son was thinking we migh get assaulted at one stage by a few next to us ..complelty over the top one eyed frockers fans on a verbal dribble about everything that did not go there way , others on my side , we introduced ourselves , had a chat , made back and forth comments on the game as it played out ... called our team out and theirs both when we though it was needed , met some nice frockers fans and enjoyed their input
very pleasant day out with a win overall !!
on sat morning abc radio , had mick malthouse on with guy mckenna , reviewing his start at west coast back in the day .one thing he made quite clear was he though WC then lacked footy proffesionalism , and where more wa club pharocial as a team ... they lacked a cohesive comaraderie .. so he deliberatly set out to shift the culture to a them and us attitude to all other non wa based clubs ......
and he wanted the fans to follow suit and support the wc from esperance to broome .. as one with the same attitude towards all other clubs ..
so you might say it has worked and been successfull , so blame a vic for that lol

I listened to that Hezzy and thought that summed up the situation back then pretty well, the other comment that stuck in my mind was when he had a go at an afl official about having to travel when we should have played a home final and was told your not suppose to win. So you can understand why W.A. teams hate the fucking vics and the vics hate us for being in their comp. Suck it up Boony a lot of vic team supporters act the same. I hope the hawk win this week so your boys can hear the same merriment when the eagles flog you over here. Will you be there watching it or just hiding and pissing into the wind on your front lawn....

I think you should probably remember which team DEMOLISHED you in the last final we played.
One thing is for certain I'll watch it somewhere I'm not surrounded by one eyed dickheads who need to find something/someone to blame when their team is either playing badly or being outplayed...
I'll be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. I'm sure the Eagles players are like that its a shame more of their loyal fans aren't!

Oh and i do think the past has a lot to do with footy, win/loss records against certain teams cant be ignored...
Hawthorn have beaten Melbourne 9 outa 10 starts, last time we played them i think it was like 16 goals to 1 or something to close the game out...
I'm sure we wont have it all our own way this time round and i wouldn't be suprised to not only see the Dees beat us but win the flag....
I think both games will be rippers and i bet ya that as the weekend gets closer people will start to remember its Hawthorn ( and Hawthorn have shown they go alright in finals ) Melbourne are playing but right now all i'm hearing is the Hawks dont stand a chance,
I think both loosers of the wkend have lots of upside where as both the winners played as good as they can so that makes it interesting...
I'm tipping the Hawks to win and i'm also expecting the Pies to beat GWS....

I think too much is being made of the elimination finals wins and some are losing sight that the Hawks played a Richmond at the absolute top of their game and that the Pies played some brilliant football that West Coast were able to absorb in key moments and then kick away at home.
I'm tipping WCE/Mayblooms and Pies/Tigers prelims.

Sicily came back and will be better for the run, Frawley came back and will be better for the run ( i actually think it was one of Frawleys better games in recent times against a FWD line that would be as hard as any to defend ) We have plenty of DEF stocks to choose from including Gunston swinging down there as needed...
Shoenmakers, Duryea, Mirra, Glass have all enough experince i'd be happy which ever way they decide to go...
A team like Melbourne will score if you cant get on top further up the ground so thats where the game will be one and lost not necessarily in the last line of def.....
