Finally a crack out wide yesterday and pretty good conditions. A good day out apart from mono failure on my braid to mono leader losing a very good fish which I reckon was a good Pinky, snapped the leader so alesson learned to replace that shit at the start of the season as I reckon it was deteriorated FFS . Anyway redemption for the deckie as he hadn't caught a Dhu banger for quite some time this one coming in at 8.9kegs
Still a few crays about so all in all very happy.

Apparently just pulled the muscle real bad. Felt a bit soft when I was given that diagnosis but the pain was up there with when I had burst appendix.

Andy....call the loss as a sambo
Hurts a little less, I invested in a PR bobbin, expensive but hell does it allow me to tie a really consistent braid to leader. Now if in doubt I simply cut the old off and tie a new one in seconds. I would take the blackarse over the dhuie any day

Lol agree that Blackarse was scaled filleted and vaccumn packed for my freezer only to be pan fried skin on over the break in butter and oil with fresh lemon juice. It's certainly the bomb as far as I'm concerned.

Some good fish Andy. Hate losing fish because of knots or terminal failures. Might look into a PR bobbin myself.
