And don't worry about the knockers, majority of sharks are tough as all fork, and takes more than a stint in air to kill them. I've personally witnessed a 11 foot tiger swim off after a .303 smokie was fired into the back of its head. I reckon yours swimming around right now, but maybe next time try and limit how long they're out of the water for.
Awesome capture. That jetty is becoming a mecca for big LBG sharks. Well done.

If all that blood is from the hook, fish with circles. They'll hook in the jaw. Carry a large plier and small bolt cutter. If you can't get the hook out, cut the shank. Mustad demon's 14/0 circles is $12 / 5. Better hook up ratio too.

gaffed it in the lower jaw which causes less blood loss than the upper where youl probly doo the most damage..
didnt have time to give it a photo shoot sorry lads, time out of water would have been no more than 3 minutes, its important too me that it get back in the water as soon as possible, soo put my hand down its mouth with a pair of pliers to remove the hook while the gaff held its jaw open (ofcourse not that stupid) few photo's n back she went and kicked off straight away.. dunno how anyone can complain when weve released 5 in the last 3 weeks with no problem.. but good catch anth and for havin the nurries to post it
