I've put a couple in for research when I was feeling lazy or missed the bin day but I usually bbq them and then eat the meat off them with a pair of chopsticks.
My last one, two actually, was October last year on Staal Lover's boat, so I haven't really been doing my bit for either freezer filling or research. I was too caught up in cray season!
Understanding the biology of these fish is a key ingredient in ensuring we manage the resource effectively.
People who say the frame research is being used against us have it all wrong in my book. The purpose of scientific investigation is to understand the facts or establish them, not to use them for some predetermined use.
Poor science in other areas conducted by independant agencies with set agendas however is another story altogether.
Support the scientists with frame donations, I have and will continue to do so unabated.
