Not a Charlie court as we don't get them down this far and they have some red around the mouth. I think they are called southern rock cods. No doubt they're closely related though.

From about 60mm upwards. Not a one off fish. Them and wrasse would be the most common fish on the bottom in weedy areas...

Charlie Court for sure!!  Bit of butter in the pan and they are actually nice eating, if you can be bothered filetting the littleuns!!  

Pretty sure the name has got to do with the relationship between their mouth and the ex premiers.  Also something to do with no guts or not much meat or somesuch!!
