you could try the 4 mile
you could try the 4 mile reef. its not so much a reef now but a ledge.
there are several on here from down there so maybe get some info from them. over the last few months there have been some nice catches , just look up the topic in the search function and there should be heaps of info for you to read through. good luck

mate, grab yourself a local chart, and work the contour lines, small areas of the 4 mile busso end work good time to time, also further out 26m-37m is good,
you are limited but squidding and 4mile/6-8mile fishing is up your alley, flick me a pm ill give you some areas to try in close, do you have a gps?,
fishing the bay mm well small sinkers mate , bottom rigs , or running sinker to hook also, alot of kgs & snapper out there,

Ive recently started sounding
Ive recently started sounding out the bay a bit more. I always favour the dunsborough end for some reason but there is a big expanse of water over towards peppi that has plenty of reef. The 4 mile is pretty easy to find, tried for the 8 mile and ran from 26 to 32m of water and couldnt find anything of interest. After going out on the west side last weekend its obvious where the ground is easier to find! Gotta find some pinky spots inside the bay tho.

You will score some good
You will score some good weather to get out a bit wider this time of year, the pinks are going to move so the spot you find one day may be gone the next. I try and locate the small patches that people drive straight over, if you are spending good time on the water sounding then you will rack up some good marks just keep an eye on those bloody pingers.
Good luck

Hi Kurt I am in the same
Hi Kurt
I am in the same boat.I have been in Busso for a fair while but always fished out of a tinnie in close for kgs and squid, and lots of shore based.
I have been looking around a bit for the bigger stuff in close and by just sounding around on reefy ground and giving it a go we have started to find a few fish.Nothing big yet but the right species so hopefully soon we will get a big one.
Also if anyone else out there has some tips I am always trying to learn.

Ive marked heaps of spots but
Ive marked heaps of spots but yes alot of them were just schools of fish. My theory is if there are fish on them as I go over them more and more then there is obvioulsy something there to attract them. I think getting out for a few friday evening fishes between 5 and 10pm might be a good idea. Hmm its friday in a couple of days
