Fishing Clubs..?

Are there any Fishing clubs operating in WA that people would reccommend to join up with? LBG fishing.

Would be great to get into some fishing events or small comps within the club. Basically to meet up with some people and learn a fair bit.

Would be great to get in with some guys who do a few yearly trips up north and know the area. Means its a heck of alot safer when your in a group going up there and also cheaper on accomodation.

Will post back what i find.

Surf Casting and Angling Club http://www.surfcasters.iinet.net.au/

The Club has monthly fishing Field days. Next one is to the S-Bend area south of Geraldton on the long weekend 25-27 September.

Check the Club Magazine for details. http://www.surfcasters.iinet.net.au/August2010ReelTalk.pdf page 33 has a description of the S-Bend area. The club had a talk on land based fishing in that area at the meeting on Wednesday night 8 Sept.

Club also has dry casting at Yokine Reserve which is a great way to meet the club members and talk about fishing and casting. Next one is this coming Sunday 12 September. Check http://fishwrecked.com/forum/want-improve-your-casting-distances-and-accuracy
