Fishing Community

While fishing Sbend on the weekend one of our Club members was fishing on the beach and after hauling in 2 Wobbygongs started to have chest pain. Plenty of fishers came to his aid. One of who drove him and his car out from the beach back to the Sbend Caravan park where he was helped by a Lady in the park who happened to be a Registered Nurse. An ambulance arrive 14 minutes later and he was taken to Geralton hospital. Turned out to be a heart attack and he was transported by air back to perth. I cant thank these people enough who helped out there quick action saved our mate. We are thankful he wasnt fishing alone that night. Any way he is in good hands now.
Thanks to all

Good to hear

Finally a 'somewhat' positive outcome after a fishing related incident.  Good to see some folks still do the right thing these days, rather than the crowd that stand back and go oooh, ahhhhh, whisper whisper, murmer, murmer.

Horrible thing to happen anywhere, lost my father to a heart attack (many years back) - he was fit as a fiddle - use to walk, run and swim 10Ks every day (ex Navy man - so a bit of a fitness nut).

Anyway, it's nice to see people helping out and very fortunate that there was a registered nurse around.

I hope he makes a good and speedy recovery Carolyn, Sandra (my wife) and I wish him well!

I hope your friend is recovering well Carolyn.

I to lost my father to a heart attack when I was 10, he was even in hospital when it happened. Its fantastic to see the advancements these days for people who have heart attacks.
