G'day,
Going up to Darwin for work and taking the Tomcat with me.
Any tips on fishing blue water out of the boat chasing reds/trout ect.
Tides don't look too big but assuming this will affect bottom bouncing once running?
any inside or locals i can catch up with would be appreciated!

I’m up in Darwin
I've been here for the last three months and my boat has been here for the last month, she's yet to be splashed. The weather is shit at the moment, super windy and there's waves breaking all through the harbour. One of the biggest issues up here is being able to launch and retrieve over all tide phases, there's not one ramp in town that you can do this at. The only place that you can get a boat in and out of at all tides is the Cullen Bay marina. This has a lock to get in and out of and it opens every hour on the hour. I'm looking penning my boat there and you might want to look at doing the same if you want all tide access. There's a fuel bowser on the seaward side of the lock so no need to hit up service stations for fuel. Let me know when you're in town and we can catch up.
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....
