Fishing in Flinders Bay Augusta

 Hi Guys

In two weeks time l will be spending a weekend down in augusta staying at the Flinders bay caravan park and l am wondering what can be caught landbased l wont be able to tracel much so will mainly hang around the town and try the marina and the beaches. What can l expect to catch? What gear should l bring is there any chance of a salmon or mulloway or should l just stick to the bread and butter fish? Any tips rigs or any advice on the area where to fish?

Thanks in advance

often holds good fish, KGW, herring and flathead.......upstream there are some really good black bream but you need to travel up around Malloy Island.  The beach has silver bream, skippy herring and mulloway.  It is a place that can surprise.  At night you can often scoop good prawns in the river, good torch really helps.

Salmon should be not too far away so anywhere near the marina or in the gutters on the beach should be worth a try
