Fishing knots

So I have perfected making twisted leaders, like all things it is actually very easy when you know how...

I was planning to tie the twisted leader straight onto the braid line but started wondering if people use a single mono leader as well as the twisted for extra length or something....?

Now I am chasing peoples opinions (the up north guys) do you join the twisted leader straight to your braid line or do you attach a single mono leader between the braid and the twisted leader.

Also what knots do you recommend to attach it all togethor.

Thanks alot

No probs,   you tying up

No probs,

you tying up with that PE8 Daiwa Braid?

when you did your twisted leaders did you use a crimp to secure it, or did you give yourself a bite leader, and twist it up over itself again so it 4x thick?

check out the gtpopping knots & technique webpages, useful reading

The twisted leaders - I used a crimp, used varivas 140 Lb shock leader, twised it up and used ali crimp, (and a swivel and a split ring)

Actually made a few so theyre ready to go, some 140Lb some 100Lb ones also.

Servicing the hilux and the outboard today,

Will get onto the knot / rig tying tomorrow or the next day.

Thanks again for the tip, Wink.

Yeah thats right mate i was in there Saturday, you guys tied me a 100 Lb one to show me, (hows that for service!)

haha was quite humerous actually, took 3 or 4 blokes in there to tie one, shit going everywhere! haha, now ive got it perfected at home on my own using a powerdrill.

The only set back is I had to go get some larger crimps, was scratching my head and getting real pissed off for a while as they wouldnt pass back through the crimp till i realised i was using 140 Lb instead of the 100Lb you guys used in the shop.

Thanks again for showing us.
