We are heading upto Lancelin in late november, just to chill, sandboard and do some fishing...
As ive never been there fishing before, what can you get thats decent around the area.
Was thinking of the jetty or at the point for some eagle rays just for abit of fun...
What are some other species you can get or is it just the usual beach species ie Tailor, herring ect
Cheers!

Rays and the Jettty
There are some massive resident rays that hang around the jetty. Too big to catch and the locals would prolly lynch you if you were seen targeting them. Great fishing off the jetty at night. The beaches all around produce all sorts.

rays
have hooked 1 of those rays before by accident targeting sharks. 400m of 50 pnd on full drag before we could slow it down and get it half way back, and then it went of again. finally got it back to the jetty for a quick look and cut of the steel trace as close as we could to its mouth. quite an experience. locals didnt seem to mind but it was around 11pm.
