Fishing in Marine Parks

I see in the gov rules that fishing in Marine parks is prohibited.
I am referring to the one in the Hillaries - Ocean Reef area. According to what I see on Google you need to go at least 5.7 km directly west to get ouf of this zone.
On the other hand they say no spear fishing from a boat 1800 meters from shore. The way I understand this all is that we are not allowed to fish off boats unless we are outside this exclusion zone.
Does this hold for Pelagic fish as well. I am not sure but the reef is about 3 km out so we cannot fish behind the reef, we have to go another 3 km beyond that. Do I understand this correctly?

You can fish in marmion marine park but no spearfishing.

well fishing in marmion Marine park is legal. but no spear fishing within 1800m from trigg island to burn rocks.

As stated yea u can fish in the marine park, but not in the sanctuary zones: boyinaboat, little island, the lumps and marmion reseach area on the coast. Can spearfish after 1800m out but no spearfishing on scuba within the park boundry

and also no use of gidgee in Marmion Marine park ESPICIALLY in harbours and NO cast nets in the the mentioned area.

Penguin island is a marina
Penguin island is a marina park and you are allowed to fish there :)/i fisk all the time there while c.a.l.m people are there. They even love to see what i catch

Do not vote for the Greens,
Do not vote for the Greens, or any party who gives preference votes to the Greens.
Soon the whole bloody coastline will be No Fishing Zones.
NSW and Vic are having huge portions of their best fishing grounds turned into No Fishing Zones.
I have heard of guys who stopped for a swim, left their gulps dangling by the step ladder to keep them moist and were fined for "fishing in a marine park"

whats wrong with no fishing zones?? fish stocks in the metro area are on the increase due to new changes imo, these should increase even further with a "few" zoned areas plenty of ocean to fish regardless of political preference

I would prefer the marine parks were release only fishing. Not
Imagine the disaster if the greenies came along and said "No fishing within 40kms of Exmouth" or "No fishing in Dampier Archipelago"
