8nm
Head 8nm due north from the jetty, there is quite a bit of broken ground there and another 4nm further out.
There is always the edge that runs about 3nm out and follows the coast around the bay, in some parts the edge is about 3 metres high, you have to keep an eye on the sounder

Too far away
Busso is too far away now so don't bother looking at their coastal waters forecasts any more

Thanks for the replies guys,
Thanks for the replies guys, I was supposed to go out today but it got canned due to the wind and tomorrow afternoon is supposed to be better than today. Will have to take the punt and wait and see. Will make sure I have a whiting rig ready and a few crab pots!

Troll for Herring
A guy showed me down there in the mid 90's about 20mtrs off the beach, so guess should be ok for too windy out further.
Put a bit of coloured drinking straw on a small long hook, light gear, throw some oily burley and troll through it, get a feed of herring, maybe gardies, use the waste for bait later.
