Fishing Peaceful Bay

I'm heading down to Peaceful with the family and wandering whether it is worth taking my boat (4.5m coastrunner) to chase some KGs etc...or just have a crack beach fishing?  How exposed is the coastline for taking out the boat and the family fishing?

Cheers

I have spent some time down there and you can get out very easy. With a westerly blowing I was heading into the rocks and drifting out with the breeze and caught all sorts of good fish including a big queen snapper which I fussed over but it was poor eating. The big pike we were trolling up I used for bait but brought some fillets home and they were superb eating like whiting.Learned something there for next time. There was a big swell running like 5-6 metres so when we got back in people were worried for us as we were going out of sight for quite a while but on the water I barely noticed.Only had a 15ft bondwood dinghy with a 10HP so didnt really go fast anywhere. The bay is protected from swells and an easy launch.Trolling to the western rocks we got bonito as well and at times we could see our lures with them following behind as the swells pushed through.heading east from the ramp there are isolated reefs that break full on but following the coast on the western side is protected.I had no intention of going past the point into open sea and most boats that went out wide did not fair well
