They are almost without any doubt rubbish. Any muppets that need to fit extreme into their product name to sell things are almost certainly total idiots.

That said, they also rebrand an omoto VS-10 which is a direct copy of the avet sx and not too bad really. Not sure they really sell it cheap enough though. I'd buy a Daiwa Saltist Lever Drag in the 20 or 30 size myself.

Some muppets do actually make decent reels despite having a reel with an 'extreme' in it....

I know who you speak of, I may even have one of them coming. It certainly isn't a pelagic extreme from a premium fishing store.

I think the advertising term is a puff, but cramming puffs into your business/product doesn't make any of them true, just makes you the master of hyperbole.

Not too bad

i bought a Pelagic copy of the 330GT1 off ebay - i gave it to a guy at work who uses it regulary around the capes with no issues. That said my brother bought the same reel and it seized prior to use but the seller replaced it and it has worked well for the last 18 months. I have a little Pelagic eggbeater that cost me $15 and is as smooth as silk.
