fishing spots

Hey guys/girls just wondering if you can help me out, I have just moved here from Melbourne and the truck with my boat on it will be here just before christmas and I was wondering if any one can point me in the right direction for some good fishing spots in Perth. I have spoken to a few people and have been told to go to three mile reef or around Rottnest Island but I am sure ther are more spots than this. Any information would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply jeff I have a 18 foot carribean half cab with a 175 johnson ocean pro and have gear from river fishing to big game. I would be more inclined to chase something big if possible.
Cheers Bryce.

you into sport fishing or do you
want to eat the fish?? at the moment there is a demersal ban on so most fish you cant keep! theres plenty of trawling at the back of rottnest or sambos at the barges!
ALL FISHERMEN ARE LIARS EXCEPT YOU AND ME! AND IM NOT SO SURE ABOUT YOU!

sounds like you need to get
sounds like you need to get into some big sambos then. Just head out west of Rotto and you'll find a bunch of boats together... that'll be the rotto barges.
