Fishing today

The ramp was chockers 27 boats in front off us .So was not a quick launch .Still conditions were ok.Headed out to the 40m and picked up soom nice tuna ,Jesse doing well on the soft plastic in orange he got five.Then we got into some bottom fish little slow on the dhuies but baldies were going off.back at the ramp for 1:30. finished with  a tuna 5 good sized baldies 1 dhuie 6kg,and a couple of good fox fish .in all a good day ,and fresh fish for dinner.

Still managed a great feed of Baldys yummm, all on baits were they Paul?. 27 boats wow! I didn't end up going today but hoping tomorrow the crowds have thinned out.

Sounds like a good session u had paul, appart from the frustrating slow lauch, can really get on ur nerves sometimes. Did u guys get the tuna casting at them or were they grabing them on the way down to the bottom?

The baldies were on baits. and the tuna were on trolled plastics.at 6knots.

Aw ok, trolled sp's is a bit different, do they spin in the water much or do u use a heavier jig hear or somethen to keep them swimming straight? Mite have to give it a go next time! cheers

Yes the water was a little lumpy but smoothed off by lunch time.Sherbs was afew birds and the odd tuna jumping but soon as you hooked up they all dived and you had to go looking for the next school.
