hi guys,
i'm looking to go for a little 4-5 days trip next week with mates and girlfriends, as i don't want to kill my engine and buget i would like to stay within 5-6 hours of Perth.
we will be sleeping in tents, we don't have 4wd and will be landbased.. any tips on nice places where the girls can relax and snorkel while the boys can drop a line and catch decent fishes?
any tips or advise appreciated.
cheers guys

If you are looking at 5 or 6 hours
Yor are probably restricted in making it to Kalbarri going north - and pretty much anywhere down south.
Anywhere around Dunsborough,Busselton would be good. There have been some salmon around thay way, so you may be lucky there. If not there are plenty of other fish to catch down that way - and you should be able to find somewhere nice to snorkel - maybe around the Busselton jetty.
Kalbarri would be my choice. There should be some good tailor and mulloway action there. Not sure about snorkelling as you have be careful of the ocean up that way. If the river is clear enough you might be able to snorkel in there. That's about a 5 hour trip.
Be aware that school holidays start with the start of the Easter weekend and any spots within 5 or 6 hours of Perth will be flooded with tourists.
