Thought I'd get this going since the MIGHTY EAGLES handed out a thrashing today. Welcome back to the house of pain fellow punters. Their intensity was good but reckon they need to gel a bit better to get the flowing footy happening. I thought they farted around with it at times but signs are all good. A few to come back from injury should give us some depth. Loved the tackling at hard at the footy paid dividends today. Keep it up boys!

A timely occassion to remind punters that Fremantle did in fact play one on the so called 'experts' top eight teams away and now sit atop the AFL ladder at the end of round one for the first time in their twenty year history. And with a healthy percentage of 252%.
The Eagles beat a bottom eight team at home...

Seems to have been a late 80's through the 90's thing to occur, seeing as it happened just six times in the 70's, 60's and 50's when you had a group of teams dominating (like Melbourne, Geelong etc) and were likely to start off on a winning note.

All that means is that Collingwood is the strongest team, we have to be carrying all those above us. Sharing the load, after all Melbourne and the new teams have been doing it for so long we thought its time for us to take a turn [not intentionally though!!!]

I think the Dockers will have a great year (I hope) but also wont discount the Eagles. Looking at experts opinions for the 2013 season many had the Eagles as top of table or premiers. Something went wrong as we all know (whether Woosa was tired, or the squad new he was finishing etc etc) but apart from Kerr gone the squid is the same if not stronger and more mature. I dont see them as 13th this year.
Dockers top of the table, Eagles 4th.
Now someone please give me the Lotto numbers with that prediction!!!!!!

Was down at the shops a couple of days back and had a Collingwood singlet on, this bloke in an Eagles jumper asked where he could buy one for his mate to rub it in after their loss to the Dockers.
Told him that they were near impossible to buy because as soon as they were put out they were snapped up because of the high demand and the only ones left were the local Dockers and Eagles rubbish. He was lost for words----priceless

You've lost it mate. You were once a rational supporter but you've become a true Freo fan.
We were piss poor in the finals last year, I addressed it in a thread way back when. Had some cultural issues and changes have been made, now the ball is in Bucks court and he has to make it work.
We were talking about big forwards winning finals, not being able to cover them against an expansion team on your home track (when it was also a wet and slippery game). From that regard it looks like Pav's decline has started sooner than expected.

Kepler is a crab, Clarke looks like being cursed with that word 'potential' for his entire career, Griffins coming back off a knee, Morabito unfortunately looks like Tarzan but has knees like Jane, and your defence is aging.
Lyon doesn't build teams for sustained success, he throws everything into one big attempt, look at the Saints now. Silvia's recruitment is a perfect example.
Fact, Pav, Sandi and McPharlin are guns, they're not easily replaced.
Tank, FW's fair weather Freo fan, try and bring some rational arguments to the thread, you're sounding like a 13 year old at the moment.

The issue with clubs like the Collingwood and a few others is the fact that they are trying to rebuild but lately nearly all the top picks have gone to the two new clubs.
Clubs trying to rebuild in the last three years are going nowhere because of a lack of top line draft picks and it will hurt them for years to come IMO
Its cold down there at the bottom of the ladder so sorry boys cold pies for a while yet Haha
