Don't think there is any particular one we can start to "pick" on with this one, but its good to be back.
Let it all start again.
Will also "bump" the top8 predictor for last predictions.
Good luck to all, but I take it back for everyone not an Eagles (or to a lessor extent Dockers) fan.

Eithad/ Docklands issues
There are a number of issues with this stadium. Carpark is underground and it appears enough soil wasn't put down before turfed.. it's well documented. Prevailing winds during the season make it very cold and the North/south orientation doesn't help for the grass to grow or even survive. Ever notice how new turf is always laid throughout the season.... put there to replace the dead grass.. that's why sods of it often get easily moved by the players body weight when they change direction quickly. Pavlich is in management mode for the remains of his career. He is the only WA based player to reach 300 games. Btw I'm not a Freo supporter .. but hats off to them for recognising his value in what he can do when up and about.

I dont care.
If a player, regardless who they currently play for, tests positive to a drug test, they should be at least suspended for a reasonable amount of time.
But the AFL does not have the balls to issue such penalty, especially to the Magpies.
Could you imagine the uproar from all them ferrals ???
AFL to my knowledge is the only sporting organisation in the world that condones the use of any kind of drugs.
And by condone I mean you are allowed two cracks at it before you can expect any kind of reasonable penalty...
It's organisations like the AFL that a person can lose all respect for. And please don't mention "Roll Models" & the "AFL & players" in the same sentence. Grrrrr.
My rant is over, good luck to all the teams this year & I hope you all get a little bit of joy from your clubs results....

Have a look at this blokes pedigree. Grandfather 4 x premiership player for the Pies. Father involved in recruitment. Beveridge hammering coached VFA side to 4 premierships. With Collingwood when premiers in 010 and backline coach of Hawks in 2013 and 2014. He knows what it takes to win at many levels. Great pickup by the Dogs last year.

Its really hard to single
Its really hard to single out players when the whole team plays like that, but i barely saw clarke all day, at one stage i thought he must have gone off wth a game ending injury.
Perhaps one very small positive was lachie weller who was hard at the ball most of the day. Laid a telling bump at one stage and showed his potential when he kicked his goal under pressure and at full speed.
As for the senior players, and the second tier players, every single one of them were beaten by their opponent. And it showed in what turned out to be a rather flattering score board to freo. The bullies didn't kick particularly straight including about 6 OOB's.
It should have been a lot worse.
