Could be a big cull at the mighty Hawks i reckon,
Here are a few names i reckon might be elsewhere in 20
Gunston ( currency and lewis and Obrien are our fwds now )
Bruest ( hope not! but he's got currency )
Burgoyne ( hopefully goes again at Hawks )
Smith ( had a good season but again has currency )
Rough - Grazing along side Makybe Diva and Winx
Puopolo ( still seems to do his job IMO, might not hit the scoreboard but sets up a lot and provides the pressure in fwd half )
Greenwood, Mason Wood, Brad Hill are a few that could be sought after now Coniglio has re-signed....

Cats asking a lot for Kelly, interesting how this pans out. My son reckons west coasts first 2 picks plus next years first will get it done. We’re back in Victoria now making our way back home, get there in time for Bathurst.

Fair deal..
Given where the Eagles are in their window not a bad compromise . This years 14, 33 and next years top pick or something like that.
They think another good shot at the flag next year then their top draft pick will be in high teens anyway so nothing special, and Kelly going to be a long term player.
Best to get the deal done as you never know what this season would have looked like if they'd got it done last year with Kelly in the squad and Mastiff already on the bench...
Cheers,
Disco.

Masten may turn out to be a good pickup for Freo, if he learns how to kick better and stop turning the ball over .

No doubt...he's an improvement on Langdon with Efficiency that's for sure.
Who knows...some players go from looking good in a strong team to looking shit in another...no sure I've seen this in a reverse case with players changing clubs. Lots of premiership players on the out have step up in other positions for other clubs...Hodge and Shaw come to mind.

Haha. He'll bring panicked hospital handballs to his players, no awareness and HTB 5x a game, turnovers in the middle of the ground and 8 broken tackles a game. He will however 'train the house down' in the pre season.

Mastitis is not coming to Freo, we are trying to get rid of our spuds, not add to it. We’ll take our picks to the draft and collect the best WA kids available.

Not so sure it was a case of doing knee again, more a case of giving himself longevity.
I think Tom Mitchell could've played at the back end of this season but the brains trust worked out a short term loss long term gain scenario.
Maybe back in the Ablett Carey Dunstall days can 1 player make a match winning difference but nowadays that's not the case.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hawthorn gave him the ultimatum.
Play this year and injure yourself in anyway before our medicos get you on our side then we won't want you.
Present as best you can in 2020 then 100% we want you.

I must admit
Freo have gotten rid of a few spuds and may just be heading in the right direction now.
The biggest spud tossed is Ross the Loss and I see Hill and Langdon are on the move too.
The Western Derbies may be a bit closer next year......

Hard question to answer
Hard question to answer Gadsy.
I wouldn't be happy with any other coach if they weren't winning or showing change for the betterment of my team.
Having a great coach for as long as Hawthorn have had its hard to think of anyone else coaching really unless it was perhaps a Luke Hodge/Sam Mitchell type which I think will be what eventuates at Hawthorn
Old school styles...
Perhaps Masten might move into a coaching role at WC?

Stats talk..
At lot of hate for old Chris and I know you love your stats Jack, so did you know that Mastiff disposal efficiency is at 77% compared to two of your centrefold pin ups Shuey at 65.8% and Yeo at 64.3%?...
People reckon the now dual Brownlow medalist for Freo cant kick either but he sits at 70% and considering the attention he gets every week I reckon thats more than a pass..
Cheers,
Disco.

Stats don't always tell the
Stats don't always tell the full story Disco. Most of Masten's 'effective disposals' are a panicked 5m handball to a team mate under more pressure than himself because he doesn't have any awareness or the pace to get out of trouble. Most of his ineffective disposals are outside of our 50m arc when we are spreading forward and allows the opposition to waltz through the corridor for an easy forward 50 mark.

Rookie draft him after a medical on a base salary and you can now cut him mid season if it doesn't work out. The biggest risk is his ongoing off field issues and how it may affect the group.

I dont think his off field
I dont think his off field carry on would affect most professional clubs if he had a bender and made the news...
If the Hawks took a risk with Harley and got him cheap and he played a few games before he got in strife i wouldn't see that affecting the rest of the group.
Some clubs it would no doubt but I think the bigger clubs that have a good culture it would affect their on field performance.
Silly Willys fuck up was twice as bad because it was right at the start of their finals series.
Harley is worth the punt i reckon.
I'd be more concerned his injury would flare up but really if you got him for peanuts then its no big deal either.

Not sure if you went through
Not sure if you went through it Gilly but its not really as clear cut as the way they rank them.
The only info they basically use is the form from last year but really they way a few teams usually fuck it up and a few usually blossom its not as clear cut as they make it sound.
The teams you play twice are no major threats, Richmond you go ok against, Pies you go well against, Geelong will struggle to make the 8, Port are fucked and Freo who you have beaten 5000 times in a row now.
Richmonds draw doesn't look overly easy, they travel to the West twice.
With ten teams in Vic the biggest clubs are always going to play more primetime slots on the biggest ground in the country.
Richmond might be having their time in the sun right now mate but holy fuck they they were shit for as long as i can remember!!
