Friday night land based
Submitted by John_M on Wed, 2010-12-08 20:50
Thinking about taking the car for a bit of a trip rather than going to the usual local spots. Thinking of going to somewhere like flat rock this friday, doing an all nighter. Looking for some bigger species mainly. Big rays and sharks etc
Anyone recommend some spots NOR or even SOR, thats a treck from freo aha. well hours or 2 driving distance

yea man i have had luck at yanchep, but then when we were there a couple of weeks ago there was only the one little guy and a hell of a lot of weed. if it was me id put in the extra 40 min or so to lancelin. Just make sure you are using long and heavy trace cuz the fish know where the pylons are under the jetty

good work, would love to see
good work, would love to see some pics mate!!
100kg plus ray land based is a pretty decent catch despite the lack of respect they get here. 150kg is a monster. did u get a wing measurement?
I have seen some battles with 100kg plus go for nearly 2 hours with little progress. cant believe how little respect they get considering how hard it is to land those beasts, still chasing my big one.
