Fuel storage solutions???

hey all

Like to go out further but restricted by fuel capacity
Use the portable 25 litre tanks have( 3 of them ) but take up a lot of room if keep adding them to get out further.

Was wondering if others had a similar issue and how they overcome it???

Cheers

http://www.fleximake.com.au/Home/Product?Id=27d664ec-c867-4efe-ab6d-6e404e4c9929&SCID=SC0001 make a fair few different standard sizes and getting one custom built to size is also an option. Not to bad in prices compared to some of the custom ali ones I have priced up, if you give them dimensions they will give you a approx capacity.

60l oil drums. Small enough to jiggle the fuel in. 3 would make a nice bench seat and get you to Rotto and back haha!

a four stroke...

You know you want one  Did 37 nm yesterday for 34 litres with the s/h F115. I now find two 25 litre tote tanks quite enough.

You'll notice a very big difference

Thu, 2015-09-10 20:30

Everyone tells you that, but you have to experience it to believe it. You'll get at least half as far again, even if you go up a bit in hp rating. Later model lean burns do even better, apparently.

Had the same problem with my

Had the same problem with my tub - I did the carbs and it did make a very slight difference but not that much that I could ditch a tank. also thought about installing a tank underfloor and may still do this at some stage.  But I ended up putting a 70hp 4 stroke Yammy on it - now have same if not better holeshot - more top end and best of all use less than half the juice and range easily doubled - haven't had 3 tanks in since.

Also very quiet and fume free and better safety wise especially when I'm fishing close to reefs

New motor will be dearer than a custom tank but if you can you won't regret it
