full of surprises

My wife expressed an interest to go fishing recently so keen to make the most of the opportunity. I know she'll lose interest pretty quick if nothings biting so looking for a good spot in the metro area to go? Haven't fished for a while so not sure whats biting.

Think somewhere like maybe e shed, point walter maybe.Somewhere with easy access (no rocks to climb) Target whiting, herring etc.

Cheers,

Adrian

A great day out with the missus would have to be penguin island. $12 each return on the ferry, Nice sandy beaches. Allways yellow fin and the occasional KG's herring etc. Options to fish the ocean side if its calm enough , you can fish the jetty or the shelterd beaches on the eastern side

Great day out otherwise esheds another comfy spot where you may get a couple whiting

penguin island

Thu, 2011-05-05 10:56

hey guys

how sheltered is it? I've got an old dinghy and I was thinking of taking my fiance for a quick inshore fish and just hangin out on the island for the day on saturday..never been there though

just a few questions:

would the predicted 3m+ swells affect the journey much from the boat ramp u reckon? she prob wont be able to handle much of a swell!

is there a place to moor/tie up the boat if we want to go walk around?

cheers
